Having Chromebooks in the classroom is a double edged sword.

Our school has a 1:1 initiative. Every student has a Chromebook that they are supposed to bring to class every day. We make heavy use Google classroom and online resources. It is fantastic. However, I recently discovered that my kids like to work smarter rather than harder.

At least one enterprising student discovered an answer key online for one of the worksheets that I had handed out. (Fantastic worksheet that I got from TeachersPayTeachers.com.)  Unfortunately for him, he finished far too quickly.  A Google search confirmed my initial suspicions. The answer key was fully visible with a simple search.

So, today I learned that phones and Chromebooks need to be regulated during some activities.
